These Schmidt® blasting systems in 10 and 20 cu. ft. sizes are designed to meet contractor needs for larger projects or are common in industrial/blast room applications. Smaller than a bulk tank yet larger than the standard 6-bag pot, they can easily accommodate multiple outlets for increased productivity.
The 10 cu. ft. system is available in either MV 3®/ComboValve® configuration or as a pressure-hold system using the Thompson® Valve II controls.Fast View -

AirPrep Systems are designed to cool and dry compressed air used in abrasive blasting equipment. Compressed air enters a pre-filter that removes contaminants and condensed moisture. The air then travels through a fan-cooled radiator, where it is cooled to cause moisture to condense. The cooled air and water droplets flow into a separator tank, where the air expands and causes further condensation. The spinning movement of the air stream separates out the condensed moisture. In the Air Dryer System (ADS), the air rises through a bed of marbles and into deliquescent/dessicant tablets inside the tank before the air exits the vessel. Approximately 50% of residual moisture is removed (after cooling). Removed moisture is collected in the bottom of the separator tank. An after-filter removes particulates that may have become airborne, then used in the abrasive blasting operation.
This Air Dryer requires 300lbs of Dessicant Tablets.

6.5 cu. ft. Dual Outlet Electric Amphiblast

The AmphiBlast system is the industry’s most efficient and productive dual-purpose abrasive blaster. Unlike other blast systems that mix abrasive and water inside the vessel, the AmphiBlast system injects water into the blast stream after the metering valve, using a patent-pending, user-friendly and uniquely precise water injection system. With this system, you can quickly and consistently control every aspect: fine-tune air, abrasive and water flows to achieve optimal blasting performance, all while maintaining efficient use of grit and water. Switch between wet or dry blast, blowoff, and softwash™ without having to reset your air, abrasive or water, using a central, easy-to-use gauge console.
At the heart of the abrasive control system is the robust Schmidt Thompson® Valve II, used globally for nearly two decades and capable of metering a wide range of coarse or fine abrasives in the AmphiBlast system. Dry blasting with the AmphiBlast features the same productivity gains and safety advantages found only in Schmidt systems. When wet blasting, operators can set and immediately see any change in water flow by using the gauge readout. This allows the operator to dial in and consistently repeat the water flow for minimal water consumption, maximum productivity, minimum abrasive use, or any other preference.
